Davinci Resolve 20 not able to use NVIDIA 4047 CUDA

PostSat Jun 07, 2025 12:08 am

After installing Version 20 I couldn't boot up Davinci Resolve as it said it couldn't use my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 in CUDA mode and that I should update the NVIDIA drivers. When I set the GPU processing mode to OpenCL the program boots up but the Magic Mask tracking only works at 1 frame per second....super slow.
Does this sound normal?
When I go to Control Panel it tells me the NVIDIA drivers are up to date so I don't know what to do.
Any ideas?

Do not use OpenCL with an Nvidia card. You will not be happy.

The release notes for Version 20 say NVIDIA Studio driver 570.65 or newer on Windows.
( 570.26 or newer on Linux)

I just downloaded the NVIDIA app and updated the drivers through there and Davinci Reslove 20 booted up just fine. Now to see if the tracking works better.
Thanks for your response
EDIT: It's working and does a great job although it seems quite a bit slower that it was in version 19.
