preview is black

Hi, I cannot see any of my footage for some of my projects, the preview simply is solid black, or in the case of one vertical project, there is a thin line on the side that seems to still be working...

I have tried creating a new project and import footage and that works fine, and I've also tried opening a recent project that hasn't got complex yet, and that also works.

This happens because I have updated the AMD radeon drivers but I need to update them for other software now, so I cannot avoid it. What to do?
