Hey everyone,
I’ve run into two usability issues in DaVinci Resolve 20 on the Edit page, and I’m hoping to confirm if others are experiencing the same behavior.
Feedback Tag: DVR-EDT-TL-BUG-001-v20
See Video:
1. Keyframe Dragging Lag (Timeline & Keyframe Editor)
When trying to drag keyframes in the timeline's mini keyframe view or the new keyframe editor in the top-left, the keyframes don’t follow the mouse immediately. There’s a kind of "dead zone" — you have to drag quite far before they suddenly jump to a new position. This makes fine adjustments nearly impossible.
2. Speed Points vs Keyframe Misalignment
When working with speed points, the keyframes shown in the timeline often appear visually offset — sometimes by 10–15 frames. For example, if I place a speed point at 00:00:06:00, the related keyframe may appear either ahead or behind that point.
Even more problematic: trying to align the keyframe with the speed point ends up moving the speed point as well, so you can’t lock them together or align them precisely.
Can You Reproduce This?
Would love if some of you could check your timelines and let me know:
Thanks in advance — the more eyes on this, the better for verifying if it’s system-specific or a broader issue.
Best,
Robert

Would love if some of you could check your timelines and let me know:
- Are you seeing the same lag when dragging keyframes?
Do your keyframes and speed points line up visually and precisely?
Does dragging a keyframe near a speed point move the speed point for you as well?
Thanks in advance — the more eyes on this, the better for verifying if it’s system-specific or a broader issue.
Best,
Robert
