Deleting Magic Mask 2 tracking nodes can deselect clips

This is just annoying…

I have a grade where I'm using AI Magic Mask 2, and have multiple tracking nodes. When I go to the next clip, and copy grade from previous clip, I need to delete and replace the tracking nodes. When you click the little trash can icon to delete a node, it just deletes it. But sometimes it deletes it, and your clip selection jumps to either the previous clip or the first clip in the timeline. So you have to locate the clip you were working on, select the node with the tracker, and continue working. Super annoying.

This is also happening to me, every time I delete it it jumps to another node.

And something worse is also happening, I was coloring a documentary where several takes needed to do the Magic Mask, everything was going well until it simply stopped working. I simply can't use the MagicMask anymore.
