I am using Resolve Version 20 on a Mac Laptop.
I created a video project which included an opening shot played in reverse. I used the "Change Clip Speed" option and ticked the "Reverse Speed" box. (Very familiar after using FCP for 25 years, which has an identical process.)
I had reason to move the original footage files, which required me to Relink them when I opened the project again. But when I relinked the footage, the shot that was to run in reverse ... was just a still image for the duration of the clip in the timeline. In order to make it work, I had to add the clip a second time to the timeline, put it in Reverse, trim it to specifications.
Wondering if this was a hold-over from Resolve 19, where I started editing the video, I deliberately unlinked the clip, closed and re-opened Resolve 20, opened the video, and relinked the file. And the same problem occurred: Just a still frame image looking at me instead of a video playing in reverse.
I'm hoping this is not a bug that will infect any other projects I have that use Reverse shots. Any thoughts?
