Canon M6ii 4k rendering

PostSun Jun 15, 2025 12:42 pm

Recently venturing into videography with an equally recently acquired Canon EOS M6 Mk2...

Shot my first video in 4k 25fps, edited in Resolve, went to deliver and choosing options selected youtube 4k, but ... clicked add to render queue and I'm being asked to upscale as resolution is different?!

Have you had any training for Resolve yet, Jim?

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Jim Bob, first thing to check is your Project Settings to make sure your timeline is actually 4k. Click on the Gearwheel icon bottom right. If it says anything other than 3840x2160 UHD in the Timeline Resolution box, change it by clicking on the arrow and select it from the list, then click Save.

If it is set to 3840x2160, in the Deliver page Render Settings, make sure that Resolution says the same. If not change it.

Does this help?

Jim S, that is the most unhelpful answer you could give.
Why didn't you try to help with Jim Bob's problem rather than just suggesting training? It's not helpful when they are in the middle of trying to do something like rendering a project. ;)
