To use Speed Editor I must do these steps in that order:
- push any random buttons on Speed Editor
- then start Davinci Resolve

It doesn't work any other way around, if I start Davinci Resolve without touching Speed Editor first - it's not enabled and I must restart Davinci Resolve

How do you use it?

With my computer, connecting the SE via Bluetooth has always been flakey so I use it connected by cable. It turns on without any intervention by me when opening Resolve.

Yes I do the same touch keys before loading Resolve. However mine will load if I do in the reveres order. Takes a while though not instant if Resolve is already running but will wake up. This is on my Studio Max. I have the USB cable attached to my PC all the time.

The Bluetooth interface will go to sleep after a period of time of inactivity to save battery power. Pressing any key will wake up the Bluetooth interface allowing it to connect to Resolve.

I understand that, but can you do it after starting Resolve?

Yes, I just touch some of the keys and it will eventually connect. It is not immediate but does connect on my Studio Max which does have the latest OS. It is not seconds more like minutes.
