Fairlight: Loudness measuring on a different Bus possible?

PostMon Jun 16, 2025 5:20 pm

I am working within a 5.1 setup with room correction applied to a listening bus.
The Problem is: I do not know how to measure loudness and have the loudness meters connected to a different bus. I found by googling that i need to undock the meter to change the bus going into the meters, but there is no way to do that , at least I couldn't find it... (davinci resolve 19).

Are there any kind of workarounds? I otherwise measure the wrong loudness (with room correction and all applied) and when I then render the 5.1 master bus, the levels are all over the place..

The Loudness metering the Meters panel follows the source selection in the Fairlight Monitoring panel's drop-down menu.

Alternatively, insert an instance of the Fairlight Loudness Meter AFX across Bus inserts.

The AFX is available in the Metering category in the insert drop-down or via drag-drop from the Effects Library panel.
