Held a class today teaching filmmakers how to use Fairlight. Great group of people with excellent questions who were excited about using Resolve and Fairlight.
When I played back my example session on my laptop (built in Mac audio), everything was fine.
However, when connected to a large on wall monitor for the presentation via HDMI with audio going over HDMI to powered monitors, playback of the same session was jerky with skipping and dropouts, and sounded and looked like it was around 2x normal playback speed. It wasn't the experience I wanted to give the students.
As soon as we pulled the HDMI, everything played fine again. I tried both with a Satechi Thunderbolt - HDMI dongle as well as the built in HDMI port on the laptop, same results.
Has anyone seen this before, and know if it's a bug or an issue I can solve through preferences or other settings in Resolve?
Thanks!
