Weird one, Resolve Studio 19.1.4, M2 Ultra Studio, 192GB, 13.5.
I have a new project for a series starting, with an existing project for a previous series. I've copied various elements at timeline level from the old project (select segments, copy), switched to the new project and pasted into respective new timelines. New media appears, segments are correct visually, renders out correctly.
Performance is abysmal on copied segments, vision stutters, on a system that should eat it. Exports slow from ~1400fps to ~150fps where copied clips are. All clips are HD ProRes4444XQ, source drive is a fast NVME RAID, they all play like butter in the original project.
Playing the new media in the project direct (not in the timeline) is equally poor, stuttery and slow (shows as 5-9fps). Most clips are short (~5 sec). Tested on a longer clip, it eventually catches up and shows 25fps in the player.
Copying that media at Finder level to a new project folder on the same NVME, reimporting & replacing in the timeline fixes this, all plays like lightning again.
