log4cxx configuration

PostFri May 16, 2014 10:14 am

Managed to install Resolve on Gentoo Linux running on machine:
Linux fx8 3.10.7-gentoo #2 SMP PREEMPT Fri Mar 7 07:06:21 UTC 2014 x86_64 AMD FX(tm)-8150 Eight-Core Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux
Graphics card Radeon HD7850.
"resolve" starts coming up with nice GUI saying DaVinci resolve 10 .... and says .. surface not found, something like it.
On the console error is:
log4cxx: No appender could be found for logger (Undefined).
log4cxx: Please initialize the log4cxx system properly.
******* Please enter q or Q to exit:

So the problem is obvious - log4cxx is not configured properly.
On Solaris there is a admin toll to do just that.
But how to configure log4cxx on Linux for DaVinci please help .....

thanks for your time ..... Kris

Please use the DVD which comes with your license. You need CentOS 5.4/6.4 from that DVD.

Thanks for advice.
Using Centos is out of the question here. So unfortunate no DaVinci - what a bummer ....

Thanks for your time.
