Resolve and Lg UltraWide 34"

PostTue Jul 08, 2014 3:43 am

Does Resolve 11 support 3440x1440 (21x9) screen? Or will resolve be stuck in 16x9? I guess what I'm asking is, is it scalable?

In theory you could set up a custom timeline at that resolution, but I don't think any of the output cards support that res so you wouldn't be able to monitor it out to a reference monitor

I think he's asking if the Resolve user interface will do something sensible when using this screen as a GUI monitor, something I've also wondered. My guess would be that it will work just fine, but it would be good to get some confirmation.

A screen like this seems like it would be great as a GUI monitor for Resolve, which could benefit from more horizontal space for node graphs and clip thumbnails.

Yes, I want to use it as a GUI monitor. Just want to know if the time line will expand to the full screen . If resolve is optimized for 2560x1440 then a few extra lines in width shouldn't be a problem right?

Very interesting topic. What about new palettes from dual screen mode? Someone try this screen with resolve 11?

yes it works very well, you need to resize the resolve window in order to have the scopes in the same monitor.
For clients i think it's pretty impressive....
For my own Resolve i prefer old school set-up with dual head with apple led cinema displays 27'
