1) Would it be possible in a future release to implement jp2k.mxf and pcm.mxf file support without having to wrap this media into a DCP, both on ingest and output. It would really make our life a lot easier.
2) Enable a system on DCP import and export that maintains existing reels and existing reels structures.
3) Implement a reel-based DCP output ability/functionality.
4) Enable source-based MXF naming conventions to continue through import and onto the timeline for easier media identification.
We believe it would just be good practice to have a transparent path of the .mxf files used in the creation of a DCP throughout the re-encoding process, as opposed to hiding the existing media components under the guise of an individual CPL. It will also make it much easier for us to track content, check reel lengths for sync and QC prior to rendering.
I hope you would consider including these suggestions in your to do list.
