Resolve 11 stuck in fast forward mode.

PostWed Apr 08, 2015 4:35 am

Something totally bizarre has happened to Resolve on my mac pro. My clips have started playing in fast forward in the timeline and in the source monitor on the edit page. When I started the project I didn't have this problem. The clips play back at normal time in other software. I can't seem to figure out what's happened. I've quit and started a new project but the problem persists.

- My preferences are set for the correct timeline playback framerates etc.
- When I hit the J or L key the overall speed the clips don't change. I've tried toggling with Shift L too, but nothing changes.
- The clips seem to be playing at about 400% faster than normally
- The clips play in fast forward in the media, edit, and color pages

Any clues?

Thanks,
Glen

What are the clip attributes speed set to?

I have seen this kind of bizarre behavior before when the program expects to see a Blackmagic video card (like a MiniMonitor) but it's not connected. It really has to have a color-managed output in order to work properly, but if you turn Video I/O & Capture to "none" in Preferences, it should theoretically work on the computer display. Just don't believe the color.

Just hit save in preferences and restart. You had a Decklink connected which has gone missing.

Thanks! Problem solved. I was running resolve without the mini monitor.

Cheers,

Hi

I have the exact same problem. I've only been using this for the second time- so I actually have no idea how to follow the steps outlined above.

Would someone be so kind as to walk me through that?
