I just installed msi's gtx 970 4gb OC version into my old
i5-2500 3.3 GHz
16gb ddr3 ram
3TB hdd
I had gt 8600, a very old card that i had been using since last 6 years, it seemed pretty good with 1080p footage in premiere, but when in resolve , by placing even 1 node the vram maxed out, so I purchased this gtx 970 card, now that i can add nodes and grade it , but can not view in real time its always around 4-11 fps , I have set bit depth to 8 bits , and cache frames in : dnxhd 1080 36 8-bit, it gives 24fps after rendering out the cache clip output .
And so in premiere, when mercury playback is used using Cuda or software, it cant playback single lumetri layer in realtime.
Can anyone help me out? I am so pissed at this card..or i am totally not justifying the card by putting it into 2nd generation of corei5 cpu?
