I just recently purchased a Blackamgic Production 4K Camera and I was wondering, will I be able to upgrade my version of Resolve 10 that came with the camera? I haven't used the serial key or even installed it yet, because I was afraid I might not be able to upgrade it or would have to buy the upgrade. Anybody know if I'll be able to upgrade directly from 10 to 12 when it comes out or even 10 to 11 now and then 12 later? Thank you.

The software upgrades are free downloads from the support page of our website.

Oh okay, cool thanks! Also is the serial only good for one use? Like if I have to reformat my computer down the road, will I have to buy a new serial key?

The serial/key is tied to the USB dongle so don't lose it.

Hi, I've bought a second hand Production 4K including a CD of Davinci 10 with its dongle.
But I'm on El Capitan 10.11.6 and I'm refused to instal it. I'm aware that Davinci has a newer version but how to upgrade and keep the initial full registration with the Dongle. Until soon and many thanks, Vincent

The dongle doesn't require registration in Resolve. It just has to be inserted and you can run any version of Resolve that your operating system supports. All Studio versions are available for download in the
Support section. You can click "Download Only" in the lower left corner of the download window and you don't need to register the download if you don't want to.
