Error Message: "Failed to link because the timecode extentsl

PostSat Jul 04, 2015 5:49 am

Hi,

I'm trying to roundtrip from Resolve 11 to FCP X. I'm using ML raw files that were converted to cinema DNG files.

1. Import DNG files to resolve.
2. Export proxies and XML for FCP. Check marked "Assist using reel names". Tried both rendering with and without unique file names to see if it was having problems linking because of file names.
3. Import proxies and opened XML in FCP. For testing purposes, just dragged clips into timeline. Did not add filters, synched audio, or anything.
4. Exported XML from FCP.
5. Imported XML in Resolve. Unchecked "automatically import source clips into media pool."
6. Error message pops up "The Clip XXXX failed to link because the timecode extents do not match any clip in the media pool. Screen shot attached

Checked time code in resolve and final cut proxies. They all match up from start and end points.

Please let me know if there is any other info I can provide.

Having this same exact issue with FCPX and Resolve 12.

XML roundtrip with FCPX not working with proxies from Cinema DNG files shot on 5d mark III ML Raw mode.

TC checks out on FCP and in Resolve.

Same issue seems to be an absolute/edge TC problem for R3D files shot on RED but so far no solution for us 5d mark III ML Raw users!

Please help!

Try to populate the "Reel" field.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

Hi Jeff, did you - or anyone - find a solution to this?

Regards

Adam
