GTX 690 as GUI Gpu

I just upgraded my render GPU to a 980 TI 6GB and have since repurposed my GTX 690 as my GUI GPU. Windows 8.1 P9x79 Pro based system.

Besides diabling one of the GTX 690 instances in Device Manager, is there any other way to prevent the one of the GTX 690 instances from showing up as a render GPU in Resolve? I'm hoping that advanced tab in Resolve Prefs holds the key...

after searching the forums, this worked:

LsManager.3.NumGPUs = 1
LsManager.3.GPUMapping = 0
LsManager.3.GPUMappingEnable = 3

Seems like a bit of a waste of a good card.

Neat Video doesn't work when using one of the 690s and 980 TI 6GB. Not enough VRAM.

Might seem wasteful, but I was previously using a GTX 570 as my GUI card with the 690 for render. The 690 doesn't work well with Neat Video, kept crapping out with "Not enough VRAM" messages. Would you guys have kept the 570 instead of the 690?

I would keep the 980ti for GPU processing, then I would sell the 690 on eBay and get myself an el cheapo 960 or less for GUI since pretty much any card will do for that. Take the extra cash from selling the card on eBay and party it up!

I had massive problems with almost the same setup(non-ti version of the 980). I had constant weirdness with QT decoder and a few other things and the only fix for me was losing the 690. Collecting some nice dust right now for a pretty decent card.
