relinking to .dpx files in Resolve

Hi,

I have been trying to find a solution to an issue that I'm having relinking back to original .dpx media in Resolve. I am working with Final Cut X for the edit, using proxy media that I have generated from the .dpx files in Resolve. Relinking to originals works perfectly in the round-tripping department -- EXCEPT when I have any speed ramps in Final Cut.

Unfortunately my project is all speed ramps. So this is a big problem. When I force conform to the individual .dpx files -- it just takes completely the wrong part of the clip or I get a still from that clip. Resolve really seems to hate these speed ramps. Is there anyone who knows how to successfully work with a speed ramp in round-tripping? If this is impossible, anyone want to suggest a workaround? I am not printing to film for this movie, so if it would work to even transfer the dpx into some other easier to work with format, I could do that. I just want to keep the same quality (shooting 2K, 2048x1080 12 bit color depth).

Any advice is really appreciated. This is my first time working with .dpx. Third project working with Final Cut and Resolve.

Kelly
