I have just recently updated my machine to OSX 10.10.4 and I am trying to install davinci 9, which is the software I got with my 2.5k. Immediatly after trying to start the install process I get a notification that I need OS X 10.6 or later for this application to work. Confused.

Is there a reason why you aren't using version 11?

There are OS changes after 10.6 that Resolve v9 would not be aware of as they were after v9 was released. I recommend going to the BMD support web page and download v11.3.x. The same dongle will work.
