Windows thunderbolt not supported?

Maybe just a beta thing? That's the most likely explanation I can think of, especially since Intel DEVELOPED Thunderbolt.

Posted: Tue Jul 28, 2015 8:51 pmSomeone should also tell BM that the X79 chipset boards have been discontinued for about a year now so they really need to test with newer systems.
The GTX 780 has been discontinued for over 8 months as well.
The guide also says Quadro K5000 with 8GB of RAM. The K5000 never had 8GB RAM, they mean the K5200.
Seems like the Config guide is riddled with inaccuracies

Posted: Tue Jul 28, 2015 9:22 pmPage 23-27 is specific to the Supermicro Board and it's Jumper and Bios setup, and refers to the PCI slot configuration on page 64.
As these two examples doesn't include the Supermicro TB2 PCI daughter card, it makes sense to disable the Thunderbolt option in the BIOS.
This is just a guideline that is the recommended setup to get the maximum amount of PCI express lanes for CUDA GPUs/Decklink and Fast Storage.
I have the TB2 card in my machine and it works perfectly, but you have to spend some time to swap cards in PCI slots to get everything running smoothly.
As the slots are divided between the CPUs, and all onboard controllers are usually using lanes for CPU1, it can be a real issue to get the right amount of lanes to the right CPU, without any rendering artefacts.
