Resolve 12 B1 LAB Grading Issue

PostTue Jul 28, 2015 5:59 pm

So far I am loving R12, great job and I think there is room for improvements as others have noted. I am having an issue with the LAB grading feature. I have been working in R11 and then tested the Waters in R12. When the LAB node is active(nodes 2 and 3), it basically make my grade useless. Everything is black. but If I turn it off, I get my grade back sans the LAB nodes. I thought this might be coming from R11 to R 12, but I tried a fresh clip/ grade and I still have the same issue. Any thoughts as to what I am doing wrong or what is happening?

Thanks in Advance.

Todd,

I'm not noticing the LAB designation under your LAB nodes.

I've attached a screenshot showing what I'm seeing.

Pat,

Thanks for the reply and helping me with this.

I have my node tree zoomed out, so the LAB designation is not shown. When zoomed in, it appears. I did have a minor breakthrough this AM. NEW database from R12 imported projects that I exported from R11. I was able to see my grades... for a bit, but if I clicked on the clip or switched clips, it would revert to not being seen again. Uninstalled, went back to 11, works fine. Uninstalled 11 and reinstalled 12 restarted, same issue. so I started a new project in R12 and brought in media and went to grade. Grade in RGB is fine, but tried in LAB and grade went black. When I say black... no image. sometimes, if I layer to a node prior to a LAB, that that Layer will work. Sigh... Thinking I'll stick with R11 until I can figure out what is going on or until that issue is fixed.

I can't replicate your behavior. Maybe get the Resolve team your R12 .drp file and they can figure out what's going on?

Pat,

Thanks,

I sent a support request via the support site, is there another way I could contact them and get them my .drp?

Thanks again!

People are putting those files on Dropbox or similar sharing service and pasting the link here or sending them as links with their emails to Support.
