Resolve 12 Studio high speed playback

Hi,

I'm getting high speed playback both in edit mode and color mode. The playback indicator shows 24fps but it seems to be playing back in at least 48 if not 72fps.

I've checked all project settings and media info and everything is set to 24fps

I'm running windows 7 SP1 64bit on a Dell Precision T7610
96Gb Ram
UI is Nvidia Quadro K5000 which is also used for GPU
No Decklink card at the moment

Timeline is 2048x1152

What am I missing? Maybe a bug.

If you have physically removed the decklink card you should use Preferences to deselect it too.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the reply. The decklink didn't show up in preferences. The plackback option only had "none".

What did the trick in my case was switching Use Display GPU For Compute to off, restarting and then set it back to on. Now it's working.

I still think you were right though. It had something to do with me just pulling out the decklink. So thanks!

Now I can't wait to play around with Resolve 12!! Yeeei! :-)

If you remove (or add) a BMD I/O device from your system, you should always save the Resolve preferences.

Particularly when you remove a device, Resolve will still think it's there and attempt to use it. This can result is fast playback speed on the viewers.

When you go into Preferences, it's true that Resolve will SHOW "None" selected, since there is no device. But that's not actually saved in the Preferences file, until you do a preferences save, and restart Resolve.

When you changed the Use Display GPU setting, you saved the preferences. Changing the Display GPU setting is not what fixed the issue. Saving the preferences is what fixed the issue.
