Hi,
I consider to switch from Premiere to the newest Resolve for my daily editing work.
One of the main features I need is a multi cam support (for editing a cooking show).
I am trying to use the new multi cam feature.
These are my 2 video sources:
BM Production Camera 4k (which shot the entire show from start to finish)
Sony A7S - which shot short (1-2 min) close up clips.
Both video sources have sound recorded and I want to create a multi-cam sync using their sound.
I started by selecting all my video files (from BMPC & A7S) then I selected to sync using the sound option on the new Multicam window.
I ended up with a new multicam clip but Resolve didn’t manage to sync them. I just got a multicam clip where all my footages are on different layers on the same time. it’s like I have 7 different Angles, while I just have 2.
Usually I use Pluraleyes to sync my files and then I edit in premiere.
Unfortunately Pluraleyes doesn’t support Resolve and I can’t import their xml files to Resolve (not even their FCP exported files).
Has anyone managed to work with the new multi-cam feature on that kind of scenario (sync 2 different video source by sound)?
