Resolve 12 -- audio has turned to white noise

I just imported a Resolve 11 project to 12. Worked like a charm... except that all the audio attached to the video files (ProResLT) turned to white noise. I confirmed that the original clips have good audio. Strangely, only the ProRes clips have white noise audio. All the audio that I've brought in separately from the video is fine. I tried deleting and replacing the clips, but they still have white noise. I also tried some other ProRes media and it was fine, but it also wasn't LT (422 and 422HQ).

Any thoughts, or have I discovered a bug?

It's possible to embed AAC audio into QuickTime files, Can you verify it's regular PCM audio? I'm honestly not sure what v12 can handle for incoming audio, but I would bet if it's not 48kHz WAV files (16 bit or 24 bit), it would have to be converted. Some programs will do this on the fly and just create a new file, but embedded audio may have issues.

An interesting solution:

The ProRes files are generated from R3Ds via REDCineX. I tried a re-render in 422 and got the same problem. Then I tried a render at 16 bit instead of 24 bit and that solved the problem. Perhaps it's something to do with the way RCX is making the QT movies, but they play fine with QT player and in Resolve 11.

The audio is linear PCM, BTW.

I spoke too soon. I'm getting some shots that will play fine in the media window, but go to white noise in the edit window.

I can confirm that issue when the files come from RedCine-X, but it seems to be a problem in that program. The white noise doesn't come up when using any other program to export ProRes with either 16 or 24 bit PCM audio.

Plus, I can't even get RedCine-X to export 16 Bit: if I change the settings (yes, I saved) it still exports 24 bit.
