I'm coming from an FCP X -> Resolve -> FCP X round trip workflow, and I'd love to start logging and editing in the new Resolve 12. My workflow in FCP X included logging footage by keying in and out points on the fly, and then keywording them.
What's the process in Resolve? (I've read the new manual.) Say I have fifteen 20-minute long interviews (boring, corporate interviews), and there are a handful of 5-second bits in each that I'd like to use. Do I have to make each 5-sec clip a sub clip in order to keyword it?
I liked being able to "favorite" parts of a longer clip and keyword them in FCPX - they'd automatically be added to a bin with that keyword. Any way to do this in Resolve, or do I have to make subclips of every useable bit?
Thanks for any help!
