RESOLVE 12 - AUDIO SYNCING

PostFri Sep 25, 2015 6:38 pm

Hello all,

i have an issue regarding R12 with syncing audio.

One video file, two different audio files (two different feeds, one boom and another mic)

Same timecode in audio and video, all is correct.

I autosync by timecode as normal.

When i edit the clip to the timeline only one channel goes with the clip....not both....

Why?

Thanks.

Hi,

sorry i rephrase...

actually we had three audio channels (three different feeds),

all three channels with the same timecode, and timecode equal to the video.

The video track had reference audio embedded,

so when i made the autosync the video track became to have 6 audio tracks....(EMBEDDED plus LINKED)

but only track 6 had audio...in this case, only the first of the channel's i wanted to sync...

Then i went to CLIP ATTRIBUTES in media pool, where you can select the channel format for each clip,

and i notest that you can only change SOURCE CHANNEL between MUTE, EMBEDDED CHANNEL and

LINKED CHANNEL 1....

what about LINKED CHANNEL 2 and 3 and so on....?

Does anyone had the same experience?

Is this a bug or a software limitation?

Many thanks.

In CLIP ATTRIBUTES , please go to the costume icon, the last to the right and assign the desirable numbers of channels you want to have per track. Then change between the three available function, Mute, Linked and Source. Hope this helps. Or you can assign an equal numbers of track as source audio you have and format them to mono or combination of mono and stereo, depends on your sources audio or your own preferences.

Hope this helps

Hi Willian,
Thanks for your answer.

yes...
that's what i did....but the thing is when you are choosing between Mute, Linked and Source,
regarding Linked i only have LINKED 1...which means channel one of the 3 i want to sync,
and i don't have the possibility to change to 2 ou 3...
i you look to EMBEDDED, you have EMBEDDED 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and so on....

that's why when i sync the 3 channels only 1 come synced and it's always the same...never the 2 ou 3...
because i can't modify LINKED....

do you understand what i mean?

thanks.

cheers.

Hi Nuno,
Once we place the formatted tracks and channels of the audio in the Timeline we can not reformat them, however, deleting the audio from the timeline allows us to reformat it in the Media Pool and then reposition it back into the Timeline.
