Insert Audio or video Only

Hi,

I was wondering if in the trimmer there is a way to mark in and out points, but just sending out audio or just video into your timeline? Right now when I just need video for example I always remove the audio track by clicking alt right after. It does the job but it works quite sloppy. Is it possible to select audio/video seperately before sending it into the timeline?

On Windows, shift-drag from source viewer to timeline takes video only. Alt-drag takes audio only.

You can also use those red outline boxes on the track number (V1, A2, etc) to specify where your clips will go when you make an edit.

JUST A FYI...
For those that come to this post the Correct Windows dragging is:

shift-drag from source viewer to timeline takes audio only.
Alt-drag takes video only.

Or you can choose either the audio or video icon in the Source window then click and drag it to the timeline.
