When checking the grading or the tracking across a shot, I would like to be able to jump forward and backward by a fixed amount - just to check at the very start what might need to be done. It'll vary depending on the type of footage as some programs have a longer average shot length than others.
However, the ability to set the move forward/back by e.g. 3, 6, or 9 seconds or e.g. 2, 4 or 6 seconds would be very useful. It would be better than having to scroll or play the clip. You still have to do that eventually but a jump facility would really speed things up by enabling one to "survey" the clip before going into greater detail with the grading or the tracking.
As far as keyboard shortcuts are concerned, I can only see: Step 1 frame +/- and Step one second +/-.
Have I missed something?
Also "Step 1 second" is disabled in the Color page - and I am wondering why.
However, I do like the (new?) Project setting "Automatically cue [n] frames into timeline clips". That's a step in the right direction anyway.
