It's a small thing, but the default file save location which comes up on the delivery page is either unaccountable (no recent saves to that location) or reflects another preset (custom or standard).

Updating a preset with another location selected generally won't work. The next time the preset is loaded, it reverts to the original value. Or switch to another preset with a different default value, and when you return to the original, it's location has also changed to reflect that other preset.

All this can lead to error, if you don't check each time.

Yes, I advocate for this aswell

at least make it save in the Project or in the Preset but not saving it at all is very annoying and led to me rendering to other drives that were full (which caused problems) before.

The Location for exports on the Delivery page comes up blank by default, but then remembers the last set location afterwards, even across project restarts. It never changes on it's own, which I'd argue is a good thing.
