Resolve 14 Compound Clip are BLACK

i mean,
is not logical!

you make a compound clip from a bunch of titles, and croped solid colors to do bars for low thirds, you try to use this compound clip over your video as a "nested" precomposed title lowthird and,,,, BOOOM all is black... wtf? who want to get a non alpha compound clip by defailt? and there is no any option to make it alpha! just blend options!
take a look con compound clips guys...

sorry for my english...

by the wat , the actual Resolve UI design is wasting a lot of space!, make tabs!, avoid excesive non used bars with just a few GIANTS ICONS, make the UI take advance from itself.
What I mean is that the UI wastes a lot of space with empty design and bars that only contain three icons that are by the way too big

This is not guaranteed in all cases but you can try to work with the composite mode?
Here a clip + an alpha above and a title at the top

A title in compound clip (composite mode (default) = normal

After I changed the composite mode from normal to Add

O.K. in this spezial Mode it works.
But i f you want to make a Lower Third with different Text and Background and the picture should remain in the original, that don´t work.

Bonjour Olivier,

A workaround is to go through Fusion Connect in DPX format.
In Fusion, insert a matte, in the saver => format tab: enable 'Save Alpha' and render.
it's a workaround...

Most of my work editing have Nested squeences or compound clips... thats the thing still keep me attached to premiere, Davinci must work on this areas cause edit process today require complex precomposed timlines, nested clips etc...

timelines and compound clips MUST BE Transparent if teh entire origin is transparent. tray workarounds with fusion or composite modes is just that...a workaround.

im pretty sure BMD people is working hard on this cause its not simple. but a program like this can not afford this kind of amateurish failures.

Olivier (que je connais de yak) is on Mac, he'll surely prefer to roundtrip to and from Fusion with ProRes 4444 I guess ;) ...

I thought this was fixed in 15, but it isn't. It's a big issue, as it's one of the main reasons I'm stuck with premiere still.

Any clue I'd BM have plans to fix it at all?

I do a lot of sports, lower thirds, scoreboards, stuff like that. Tried using Davinci for the first time today. Hit this issue.. Oh well.. BACK TO PREMIERE! Let me know when they nail this down and I'll try again.

I started a new thread as I didn't want the issue to get ignored due to this title referencing Resolve 14.
