14B4 and H.264

PostFri Jun 16, 2017 12:32 pm

14B4 is playing H.264 encoded 4K footage from my DJI Mavic Pro drone beautifully while editing on my timeline with no optimization or trans-coding on my hardware listed below. I'm impressed and I have a big smile!

Yes, as most likely GPU's dedicated h264 chip which is doing decoding. Most files should work well now, but this will be most likely limited to 4:2:0 8bit h264.

My render time for a 9:24:07 H.264 UHD file encoded again to H.264 UHD was 34:13. I'm quite pleased with DaVinci Resolve Beta 4 on my hardware!
