Message to: bypass your firewall

Hi, I recently downloaded Davinci Resolve 12.5.5, and I haven't had many problems with it until now. I am new, so excuse me if I'm not posting this in the right place. I updated the software recently, and a pop up came on my screen, it read something like this; " This software requires to bypass your firewall in order to use some features. Since I only recently got Davinci I rejected it, not knowing it could potentially ruin me. Now whenever I insert a clip from my media pool I am able to watch it until I try to actually edit it. When I try to edit my imported media it cuts to a screen that is usually black or says, "media offline". However, I am able to hear the audio. Thanks to whoever can help me in advance.
