Add marker not working

Hi all, I have suddenly lost the ability to add markers in the timeline, none of the methods work, such as keyboard shortcut, mark menu, or add mark button. I have tried to add markers on various timelines and projects to no avail. They had been working fine up until now, so I'm not sure what I have done. If anyone could shed some light on this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

You know there has been an update to Resolve 12.5.4 which what you are currently using, now it's Resolve 12.5.6.
This might be your soulotion to add markers and many other improvements as well, should check it out.

Unfortunately the update did not fix the problem, still can't add markers.

Specify: you cannot see the marker or you cannot add it?

Park in the timeline, press "m" twice: dies the marker pop up came up?

In your timeline setting, there is a "make marker visible" setting, is it on?

Once we eliminate the obvious, we will try some other things

yes it was very simple In case anyone else makes this mistake there is an option to show flags and markers in the timeline view options, which I frequently use to change the size of my tracks but never thought to look there for marker options. Lesson learnt.

Please tell me where the timeline setting is. I can't find make marker visible. Anywhere.

This is what I found, I think it is the same as your.
In “the timeline viewer options”, (the icon with three windows to choose time line size the configurations) click on the "make marker visible" box.

Thanks so much. I was very perplexed. One project had markers showing, and one didn't.
