Questions about Building a Machine for Resolve

PostFri Mar 22, 2013 4:44 pm

How do you think this gaming setup will run Reslove for editing RAW BMC footage?

Quadcore, i7-3820 (overclocked to 4.1)
GTX 680
16GB Ram.

Will the GPU always be the limiting factor, or is there ever a CPU bottleneck? Is upgrading to the 690 worth it?

My guess is that type of hardware would have a good chance of doing BMCC raw footage in real time.

The GTX680 card is certainly good enough, if the motherboard bandwidth supports it. No need for a 690.
