I just noticed this, when I start a new project, went to media tab and opened a folder that has a bad media file in it, Resolve will crash. I could not figure out why I was getting crashes this morning then I remembered the folder had some corrupted video files in it from my Phantom 4. I opened Resolve up again and navigated to a different folder and it was fine, so I then navigated to another folder that had some very low light video files in it that also did not want to play, and it crashed again, but this time not until I clicked on one of the files. I just clicked on it, I didn't drag it to the media pool.
So if anyone is having similar crashes, you may want to check all the media in the folder you are trying to open and see if there are corrupted media files in it.
Log is here if anyone wants to check it out..
