DNxHD Crash Linux Mint/Ubuntu

PostSun Dec 17, 2017 3:32 pm

Hello,
I have a problem using resolve in Linux Mint. All is working fine but when I'm trying to import a file with the dnxhd codec it crashes. Same happens when I'm trying to export this codec in Resolve. I've installed ffmpeg an in the VLC Player I have a playback for this clip. I don't know which library resolve is using for doing this stuff, but it isn't ffmpeg.

Thanks and regards

Thank you very much. The steps for reproducing the crash are easy. i have to import a DNxHD in a mov container and it crashes. Same with the export. My system is:

CPU: FX-8350
GPU:gtx 1060 6gb
RAM:8gb

in your case it's most likely caused by the AMD CPU, which doesn't support the necessary instruction extensions...
