VST Plugin Disappears from Compound Clip

PostSat Jan 06, 2018 9:46 pm

Hi,

I have a problem with a disappearing VST Effect plugin (Izotope's Neutron 2 in this case) when I drag it onto an audio clip, that is within a compound clip, opened in Fairlight. The plugin fires up after dragging it onto the clip, I make my changes - they play back fine. I switch back to the main timeline that contains the compound clip and I can hear the effects I applied. However, when I right click to re-edit the compound clip (Open in timeline) and view the same clip I previously applied the plugin to, the Inspector just shows the default clip options (Volume & EQ). My applied plugin is gone! At this point, when I play back the audio, its as if the plugin was deleted.

I'm running Resolve ver. 14.2.0.12 on Windows 10.

Anyone else seeing this?

EDIT: Discovered this after my original post - the disappearing plugins only happens if I open the compound clip from the Edit screen. If I open the clip from Fairlight, the plugins persist as expected.
