Commercial use of the free versions?

Hi,

I am new to DaVinci 14 and Fusion 9. I have got free versions of these softwares and I wonder these free versions can be used commercial purposes or not. If so, is commercial use only valid for these versions? What's the plan for future versions? I need an answer.

Thank you :)

Read the EULA but I don't believe there are any restrictions on the usage for the free version.

Yes, you can use the free versions for commercial work.

But you should spend the money and get the PAID version. Blackmagic will only continue to make improvements to the software if it makes enough of a profit to pay for their support staff and developers. And the additional features in Resolve Studio are more than worth the US$299.

And also to pay Dwaine and/or Peter to keep them alive and kicking when forced to ask for logs all the day along

I think that qualifies as the understatement of the week. Maybe even for the month ;)

Hey guys,

I am wondering if the software is still free for commercial use. To be more specific: I'd like to use it in a company and I have no intention to sell the produced videos.

Dwaine, does your contract force you to answer this question each and every time? ;)

I'm sure he even has the description on how to post logs and machine specs on a keyboard shortcut :-)

It's not the real Dwaine, it's an upcoming BMD product DwaineBot 14.7, you just kind of hover the mouse over something and hit F1 and a post magically appears explaining how to do what you want.

If it's anything like in my business the SupportBot generally says Yes and the ProductManagerBot generally says No.
