Multiple Subfolders on Export?

Hi all, quick question about exporting. Since upgrading to Resolve 14, it seems like I can no longer export with multiple levels of subfolders like I could in 12.

Before, in the "File Subfolder" dialog box on the Render Settings/File page, I used to be able to enter multiple names or tokens separated by slashes...eg "[File Name]/[Timeline Index]". However, when I do that now I get the error "Invalid character in suffix" because of the slashes. How would I go about fixing this?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can u have a look in the manual for render tags?
I recall we made changes there for v14

Hi Peter, I took a look in there but couldn't find an answer to my specific question. I found all the different variables I can use, but nothing about creating multiple subfolders for delivery.

For what it's worth, the problem isn't specific to tags or variables; if I tried to enter "test/001" into the File subfolder dialog in order to place my renders in an "001" folder inside a "test" folder, I'd still get the same invalid character error code.

I don't know about Macs, but in Windows there are a number of characters that cannot be used in file names without causing problems. Instead of a forward slash you could use a hyphen.

Hi Charles, it's the same thing with Macs, too. I don't want to actually create a folder with a slash in the title, I'd like to create a hierarchy of folders, with the slash used to specify each level. You can do this with most other programs while exporting, and you could do it with Resolve 12 and earlier, so I'm sure there's a way to do it with 14. I just can't for the life of me figure it out.

BUMP. This would be really helpful for post production workflows. This function must exist.
