DaVinci Resolve - Chromebook

First time caller, long time listener.

Guys, I wanted to reach out to the Blackmagic team and ask if there are any current plans or ideas for bringing DaVinci Resolve to the Chrome OS or upcoming Google operating system releases.

There are very limited options for editing video on a Chromebook but now that real processors and specs are being paired with Chrome, the opportunity of moving real content creation workflows to the platform has arrived.

Resolve running on a Pixelbook? Sounds like a good match and might even justify a $1000 Chromebook!

It is only a matter of time before someone caters to Chrome. I think you can be first.

My gut reaction says that Resolve would run very poorly on a Chromebook, as resolve is quite GPU dependant and I don't think the Chromebooks have very beefy GPUs.

Just my initial thoughts, but it doesn't sound like a great fit.

Things are starting to get moving here...

With a release >= 67.0.3383.0 of ChromeOS on a Pixelbook you can get Linux apps running in containers.

I managed to install and run Atom but unfortunately Resolve fails on Startup.
Installation with the Linux installer went well.

When trying to install libssl I get the following Error:

Package libssl1.0.0 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or

Anyon got an idea how to get this going?

I'm not very good with Linux and the Terminal but getting Resolve on my Pixelbook would be amazing.
The Hardware should be fine in my Opinion. It's a Pixelbook.
