Importing video into media pool

HI, I downloaded Resolve 14, the free version, last night after having watched a you tube video that recommended it.

I have been editing videos using Serif MoviePlus for a few years and have decided to try out something different.

The problem I have is that after I imported video files into the media storage box, I then needed to import them all into the media pool for editing. I multi selected them all and dragged them into the media pool. For some reason they all appear out of sequence. Just now I selected 5 consecutive files '00000 to 00004' and for some reason they are displayed, '00003, 00000, 00001, 00002 and 00004'. With well over 100 video clips to edit you can understand how this could make editing a little difficult. Any suggestions? Thank you.

The media pool clips can be sorted by name before you do any editing. The user manual reveals all!

My advice, don't try using Resolve on a real project until after you've read the following. It's incredibly helpful.

Thanks for the advice Jim, I'll certainly think about buying it. Just trying to get used to the interface, it's so very different to Serif's MoviePlus and it does seem to be counter intuitive, but it's just a question of getting used to it I guess, and getting to know where the different tools are stored.

I have around 70 clips of video which I took today in the snow, and will use that as experimentation material.

Thanks again.
Steve

I've now sorted there an up/ down button above the media pool bin where you tick file name and ascending.
Thanks

That book will definitely help you with this.
