Duration of Solid Colors in Timeline

PostSun Mar 04, 2018 2:41 pm

HI,

I'm using DaVinci Resolve 14.

I made a black solid color in the timeline. Is there a way to tell the duration of it?

Also, is there a way to load a solid color into the Viewer/Source/Left Window so I can trim it in there before I drop it on the timeline?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Adam,

You should go through the manual: Davinci Resolve => Preference => USER => Editing:

We talk about the default image duration in seconds or in frames. Likewise with regard to generators, transitions, etc.

To put a solid color in the viewer, it is possible only after having transformed it into CompoundClip (within the limit of the length that you will have given to the solid before transforming it into a compound clip) :)
