Fade up from black won't render

I'm on davinci 14.0.1.008 on an older mac pro, OS 10.11.6, 32 gigs ram

This is making me crazy. In the edit window, I have key-framed a 7 frame fade up from black on a clip. It plays in the edit, color, and the delivery windows. The clip is ProRes from the client with no handles. I have only a simple 3 node color correction; first is a standard grade, second is a track circle matte on a face for a highlight and the third is a circle vignette.

When I render out the clip (full timeline), the fade disappears, it's full video from the first frame. This is making me crazy. Is there a render setting somewhere that says ignores fades from the edit window?

Thanks for any help.

Did u add a black clip or use the color generator?
In the delivery page, is the render range set to timeline and include the black clip?

Thank you Peter.

I did not use either a black clip or color generator. On the edit page, I set 2 keyframes on the clip where the 1st frame of the clip has a keyframe set to 0 transparency and 8 frames later a 2nd keyframe set to 100 using the composite feature.

The clip is at the beginning of the timeline and the render range is set to timeline.

One other piece of information is that I need to render this job out as individual clips.

I tried using a frame of color generator, cross fading to the clip and exporting entire timeline which did include the fade up but that doesn't help on the timelines that have more that one clip.

So why won't the key-framed clips work?

This still seems to be a problem in Resolve 15 final.

I have a timeline, where I would like to render out individual clips instead of the whole timeline into one file. I have set video and audio fades using the clip fade handles in the timeline. Choosing individual clip rendering seems to ignore the fade settings. When I remove all but one clip from the timeline and choose the single clip option, the fades work as expected.

This means the only workaround for the problem I am able to come up with, is to split up my timeline into timelines with one clip each and render them out as single clips. :-/
