Relinking media with different file name

Can someone tell me how to relink media with a different file name?
Seems like in v14 that wasn't possible.
V15 now has a "Replace Selected Clip" feature. But it doesn't work for me the way I need it to:
I used Scene Detection to create these subclips from a larger file.
If I try to replace one of these subclips and point to the original video file, the subclip now contains the full length video file. Obviously I don't want that. I want it to keep just the little piece I selected using Scene Detection.
Any suggestions what I can do to relink these clips?

This is a normal behavior when using Cut Detection. Each clip in the Timeline is going to re-link to the same source file from where those clips were created.
Try to use relink by Codec, Media Storage, among other new conform features DR14 has to relink footage.

Can you tell me where I can relink by Codec, Media Storage etc?
The only place, that I found, where I can do that, is when right-clicking on a timeline and selecting "Timelines -> "Reconforming From a Media Storage...". But that's not working for me.
Just to make sure: It's not about conforming clips in the timeline to clips in the media pool, but about re-linking clips in the media pool to video files on my drive whose names changed.
I couldn't find anything about that in the manual. There are all kinds of ways to relink and reconfrom footage and I tried multiple approaches, but nothing worked for relinking to files with changed names.

Please take into consideration that even the manual mixes the terms Conforming and Re-Linking not only semantically, but in practicality. So, try to use the options available in the conforms tabs which offer extensive possible combinations. Try not let the terms "re-link" not to use other options.

Hey Julian.
Did you make sure
Conform Lock enable was unchecked for the clips you wanted to relink?

Conforming the timeline using "Conform From Media Storage" works, but that's not what I want.
If I do that, the timeline is conformed, but it never relinks the subclip in the Media Pool.
Even if that subclip was used in the timeline, it's reconformed and working in the timeline, but the subclip in the Media Pool is still offline.
So "Conform From Media Storage" really does only conform. It does not relink the original media in the Media Pool.
