Merge corruption with mask

PostSat Apr 14, 2018 12:12 pm

This is probably a hardware thing on my MacBook Pro (Intel Iris 1536 MB, 16GB RAM, 2013 Retina) but When I pipe a Polyline mask into a Merge I get a bad comp.

Unrelated question - I see you can enable Motion Blur (right click under the transport bar in Resolve Fusion) but are the no controls for it in the nodes? I was animating some Text+.

Yes, looks like a GPU problem to me. Try turning on the option to only run Fusion on the CPU in the main Resolve preferences. If that fixes it, you could try changing the GPU Processing Mode, if you have multiple options in there.

If that doesn't fix it, in standalone Fusion we can sometimes address problems of this kind by trying a different driver version for the graphics adapter. Update to the latest if you haven't. If you have the most recent, try stepping back a version or two.

Concerning Motion Blur, the switch is in the Settings tab for any tool that supports it.

Ah, I didn't spot that Motion Blur switch thank you! I'll take a look at those other CPU options too, thanks.

I'm just finding out what's where and what's different between Resolve Fusion and regular Fusion. Another one is the Centre control for Text x, y, you can move in on screen and animate it but I can't find the number anywhere.
Thanks again.

It's in the Layout tab—second from the left.

Thanks for helping with this, I should have looked harder for all those options, they were all there, hidden away! And the CPU option did the trick.

Text+ is a pretty big tool with a few different kinds of transform controls; it's easy to get lost! To be honest, I had to poke around in there for a little while to find it myself, since I seldom use it.
