Editing audio levels in multicam

PostTue Apr 17, 2018 5:42 pm

Hello everyone,

when I open a Multicamclip in a Timeline with "open in timeline" to edit audio levels\mute\solo and go back to return to my timeline with the mutlicamclip inside the changes are not kept.
When I open again with "open in timeline" all tracks are in normal level like in the beginning although clips are in mute or solo. The level adjustemts from the mixer are gone as well.

Is "open in timeline" not meant to save adjustments?
For example when I adjust inside the multicamclip color these adjustments are saved and are also visible in the timeline containing the multicamclip - but not the audio adjustements.

Currently I'm using the 15beta studio.
I didn't have a chance to figure out if it works in DR14.
Is this a bug or just not possibile inside Resolve?

Greetings

Krischan

I've had difficulties in this area myself. To get the work done, I've taken to adding my audio outside the Multicam timeline. This allows full manipulation as normal.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I am having this problem too in 14.3. I have 8 clips that I have had to line up manually to a cd track, and then muted the audio from the 8 clips whilst leaving the cd track playing. It plays fine in timeline view but when I go back to multicam view... silence.

I must say this is extremely frustrating especially as it seems to be a problem unresolved from earlier versions. I have tried everything including moving the audio track around in the timeline view, copying the audio to another track in the timeline view, and trying to copy the audio to a new track in the multicam view. With the last option I can now hear the audio but attributes such as in and out points, and the right place on the timeline, are not copied, rendering this option useless.

So much time wasted
