Duration of single frame clips

PostTue Apr 17, 2018 8:56 pm

Duration of single frame clips incorrect in Fusion.

Resolve clips based on a single frame like tiff or jpg are 1 frame long in Fusion regardless of the setting or the actual timeline length in Resolve.

It's impossible to extend the duration in Fusion by manipulating the media in the Keyframes window.

Just use Time Stretcher node next to image.

That simply doesn't work.

There was a piece missing from that suggestion. The Fusion comp will only be as long as the media from which it was created. Although the image has been held for a certain duration in the Timeline, it's still just one frame, so the comp is just one frame. Place a slug in a higher video track, then create the Fusion clip. The higher precendence of the slug will determine the comp length, and then the TimeStretcher will work to extend the still frame.

Hopefully a coming build will fix it so this kind of workaround isn't necessary.

I thought that you need to add an image to already created comp.
I use Text+ for this purpose.
Stretch to the required length, disconnect MediaIn and add the right stuffing.

PS: Bryan, thank you for notes. :)
