Davinci Resolve 15 on CentOS - Video Cards Supported?

PostThu Apr 19, 2018 6:59 pm

I have a desktop machine I'd like to devote to Davinci Resolve, but I want to run CentOS rather than Windows (I've reinstalled Windows multiple times and it just runs like crap, despite the good specs of the PC...tired of messing with it). It has an AMD CPU and an AMD Radeon HD 7870 video card. I've installed CentOS 7 and Davinci Resolve, but get an error when starting Resolve related to libGLU. I'm not a regular Linux user so I'm a bit lost on resolving this. It seems that I don't have the proper video drivers installed, but I'm unsure if my video card is even supported. If it is, I don't know where to find the proper drivers for it. If it's not, I'd love some recommendations on a decent but budget-minded video card. Or if my choice of hardware and OS is going to be extremely trouble prone, let me know that too.

Thanks!

you could try:

Code: Select all
yum install mesa-libGLU

Return to DaVinci Resolve
