DR crashes when stabilizing a second clip

The following happened several times but not every time. Till now I have no idea what could be the reason:
Stabilizing a clip in the Color-page works fine. If I return to the edit-page then back to the color-page and stabilize another clip everything is fine too.
If I however change from the edit-tab to the color-tab and stabilize a clip and a second one immediately Resolve reports a GPU Memory-Error that I can quit. Then it says "Analyze..." with no more progress.
The only way to return to work is CTRL-ALT-DEL, quitting and restarting DR. Then everything is fine and I can continue work.
Since the timelines are quite simple and don't have much color-correction or effects I don't think the GPU is in overload....
